Brighton College offers students courses in the substantive study of law in its various forms, as well as its practical application. Our paralegal certificate program prepares graduates for a successful career in the legal field. Although paralegals are not attorneys and are not licensed to practice law, they are legal assistants and have been educated as to legal principles and processes.
After graduating from paralegal school with a paralegal certificate, you’ll be able to think logically and analytically in order to identify and evaluate the key concepts and facts involved in each case with which you’re tasked. There are many different positions and roles within the paralegal profession, but all require you to be highly organized, with an ability to prioritize and multitask. You’ll also learn excellent research and writing skills while studying administrative law and government regulations using computer-assisted legal research, in addition to legal analysis. As a paralegal, you’ll provide valuable insight to the attorneys with whom you work.
