Record Breaking Attendance

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: JOBS/BUSINESS/EMPLOYMENT/NON-PROFIT EVENTS

RECORD-BREAKING ATTENDANCE CAREER CONNECTORS NETWORKING EVENTS REACH 20,000 ATTENDEES

The Non-Profit Offers Monthly Events Throughout the Valley
Providing Quality, Career-Level Hiring Opportunities for Those in Career Transition
May, June and July Meetings Announced

PHOENIX, Ariz., (April 27, 2015) – Career Connectors reaches new attendance records on the eve of its sixth anniversary, officially registering a cumulative 20,000 meeting attendees. The nonprofit’s event turnouts have increased exponentially, providing quality assistance to Valley professionals in career transition.

Since its launch in July 2009, Career Connectors has organized 281 events with over 300 featured employers. Their LinkedIn Group now exceeds 4,700 members with new additions daily. The organization continues to develop new corporate partnerships and networking tools for its growing community of job seekers. With monthly events taking place in Phoenix, Gilbert, and Scottsdale Arizona, the nonprofit’s recent milestones are a testament to its valuable resources and quality hiring opportunities.

“We’ve continued to modify and structure our program around the needs of professionals to keep up with the changing economy. Our program continues to grow, not necessarily due to a bad economy, but because people get real help, find great connections, and experience hope when they join the events and this community,” said Founder Jessica Pierce.

Career Connectors events are free and provide face-to-face meeting time with quality employers, plus a variety of no-cost tools and professional resources including resume review and critique, business portraits, social media and LinkedIn coaching, and educational opportunities. For a full schedule, more information or to preregister, click careerconnectors.org, or call 480-442–5806.

Summer 2015 meetings consist of three one-hour segments that kick off with a relevant keynote speaker and topics such as “Image Matters,” “Getting Hired by the Best,” and “The Successful Interview.”

Second-hour presenters consist of hiring company representatives who provide full information and tips on open positions. A variety of industries are present and may include health care, high-tech, engineering, financial services, with positions targeted to unemployed or underemployed, career-level professionals.

The third hour provides networking, job search assistance, career experts, community resources, hiring companies, resume review, professional photos, LinkedIn coaching, and more.  Career Connectors was recommended by the Department of Labor as an effective employment engagement model at The White House in Washington DC, where the organization’s executive director and founder, Jessica M. Pierce was a speaker.

The networking group remains one of Arizona’s fastest growing job seeker programs in the Valley, and earned a spot in the Phoenix Business Journal’s “The Top Five Phoenix-area networking associations” in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011.

Testimonials

Career Connectors offered me a one-stop-shopping capability for all of the coaching, resources and connections I needed to perfect my job searching skills.  The package of services, and support I found while attending these workshops over the past 7 months was unique to, and more productive than any other networking venues I attended. I am thrilled to share that I’ve landed with B/E Aerospace in Tucson.  I recommend to all Job Seekers to find out what works for you, and exploit it for best r… Read more

Networking helps, especially when you do not directly know anyone at a target company. I have attended 4 of your meetings and at one of them a company representative and recruiter presented. I was already familiar with this company, but she also said some other things in the presentation that made me take notice and created more interest on my part. I spoke with the recruiter at your event and she followed up the next week and from there I went on several phone interviews and on site interview t… Read more

I just wanted to reach out to you and say Thank you to you, Career Connectors and the whole Team! So let me explain why, while I’ve known of Career Connectors for many years, I never thought that I would need employment services or guidance before. On September 19th 2019 I found myself being let go from my job. I later the next day saw the Career Connectors event at Central Christian Church Gilbert Campus coming up on Facebook and signed up for it. While attending my first Career Connectors even… Read more

I want to follow up with you about the position I had hoped to get. I got it! And thanks to Jack Milligan’s Salary Negotiation talk, for the first time I didn’t feel like an idiot when I accepted a job. No one else offers that kind of information.  Thank you for all you do. I appreciate your efforts to bless others.  May you and yours be blessed every day. Thank you for everything,
Cheryl
Thank you, Jessica. Although I wasn’t able to meet you personally, I was able to see you working with another applicant and was impressed with your efforts and the excellent platform that your team presented. Thank you very much.

A good friend told me of her success using Career Connectors networking.  She landed an interview and later, a job in her field, after attending one networking event.  So, when it was my turn, I had to check it out. I was starting to get the blues about being unemployed but the speaker lifted me out of the dumps and put my life back in perspective. So many people were there to help and offer support!   Just by networking that day, I was given a job lead that has led to two interviews and a… Read more
